Christian Leaders Conference (Summer 2023)

The board, staff, and the entire community of C.R.G.C. express their gratitude to God for the spiritually rewarding and edifying conference that took place on August 4th at Paul’s University (Awka, Nigeria). God used the speakers and panelists to meet the spiritual needs of those who attended the conference.

Conference Theme

The conference’s theme was “Summoned from our Faith and Called to be the Ambassadors of Hope.” This theme was relevant given the spiritual questing for hope in the face of the failing social, religious, and political institutions in Nigeria.

The keynote speakers focused on different, although related topics, facilitating deeper conversations and knowledge on how Christian leaders can be ambassadors of hope in their areas of ministry. One of the speakers talked about “Disciples of Jesus Christ as ambassadors of hope” and another talked about “conflict resolutions and human flourishing: Lessons for Christian leaders in Nigeria.”

Attendees

Though we officially invited only 150 Christian leaders to the conference, about 300 people showed up. The unexpected number of people, to us, showed the yearnings for Christian knowledge and access to resources for teaching Christian truths. The leaders belonged to different Christian communities, including Evangelical churches, Pentecostal and Charismatic churches, Anglican churches, Catholic churches, and African Indigenous churches.

Your gifts and donations made it possible for C.R.G.C. to fund the conference and to give 150 copies of study bibles to Christian leaders.
